INGREDIENTS

• 50 Gr rice, white, medium-grain, raw, enriched

• 30 Gr crystal of the sea fresh anchovies

• 300 Gr soup, chicken broth or bouillon, dry

• 20 Gr carrots, raw [includes usda commodity food a099]

• 2 Gr spices, bay leaf

• 3 Gr oil, vegetable, natreon canola, high stability, non trans, high oleic (70%) [trans free high stability low saturated fat non-hydrogenated canola oil]

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Rinse the rice thoroughly until the water runs clear.
  2. In a pot, combine the rice, chicken broth, bay leaf, and grated carrots.
  3. Cook over low heat for 25–30 minutes until the rice becomes soft and forms a porridge-like consistency, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
  4. Heat the canola oil in a small pan. Sauté the fresh anchovies until cooked and fragrant. Set aside some for topping.
  5. Add a portion of the sautéed anchovies into the porridge and mix well.
  6. Transfer the porridge into bowls and garnish with the remaining sautéed anchovies on top.
